Ricardo Clarke is a reggae artist from the Bahamas dedicated to singing songs that uplift and also offer praises to God. One of the latest to rise in reggae gospel, Clarke has been on the move for years and is now signed to the indpendent Uprising Soundz label. His debut album, “Uprising” was released earlier this year.
Clarke’s music blends roots and dancehall to make for a unique reggae gospel sound. His first single off the album, “Not Settlin’” is an inspirational song reminding all listeners that they deserve the best. Similar to several gospel singers, Clarke grew up with music and emerges from a musically inclined family. He’s also been a part of several other entertainment efforts. In 2007 Clarke recorded for the “Youth Alive” soundtrack for Bahamas Faith Ministries and his song received very positive feedback. Clarke has begun to move beyond the Bahamian and Caribbean market, and is poised to help expand the reggae gospel scene.
