He even gave us all a bit of a shock when he cut the locs off. Most recently we’ve heard from Rhymes on infectious hit “Arab Money.” This year promises to bring more of the innovative and out there Busta that we all love with his seventh solo album, “Back on My B.S,”

In fact it was Chuck D of Public Enemy that gave Busta Rhymes his stage name when Leaders of the New School opened for the popular rap group on tour. Even within the group, Busta Rhymes stood out as a star and eventually branched out on his own. His in your face and out there hit, “Woo Hah” took the waves by storm in 1996- one of hip hop’s biggest years. And as his first solo album went platinum, Rhymes continued to make music, releasing “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See,” “Dangerous” and appearing on the ever belligerent anthems “Ante Up” and “Break Ya Neck” within the next few years. He also has sever tunes with a Jamaican tinge such as “Make it Clap” and collaborations with pop songstresses like “I Know What You Want,” feat. Mariah Carey and singing with Janet Jackson on “What’s Gonna Be?”

And plus, who has had a more loyal hype man than Busta Rhymes? We see you Spliff Star!
