Trey Songz is ready to drop his third album, “Ready” . Easy on the eyes with an undeniable talent, Songz has been regaling us with great music since 2005. Unfortunately the charts have not always been on his side but his steadily growing fan base remains a testament to his capabilities and the quality that is at the base of his work. Getting rid of the cornrows didn’t hurt either.

Taking a note from rappers, Songz has remained relevant between albums by releasing mixtapes and singing his own versions of other songs. With albums like “The Ladies Choice” Parts 1, 2, and 3 as well as “In My Mind” Trey Songz has kept his fans at the forefront offering songs and collaborations that they will enjoy. Still, with all his growth there is often something lacking between the making of a Trey Songz hit and the release of the video. Yet, he remains on the radar, and will go down as one of the most talented R&B vocalists of this time. His second album, “Trey Day” solidified his place with the hit single “Can’t Help But Wait” which earned him his first Grammy nomination. As “Ready” comes out we eagerly await more of the good that we’ve come to know from Trey Songz as well as hope that a few things have been tweaked, allowing Songz to develop the “it” factor necessary for a star.
