Definitely one of the most tragic and salient events in contemporary history was the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the lives that were displaced. Since then the arts scene (as well as several other outlets) have worked to make sure that life will be made better and also to make sure the memory is preserved correctly before it hits the history books.
