If you get your music from commercial radio its very likely that you haven’t heard of Magazeen. Heck, even if you actively search out the latest and the greatest, you still probably have never heard of him. And that’s okay. To date he hasn’t done much of anything remarkable, but he is slowly making moves and so your trusty RBMVibes.com folk are here to bring him to you as your latest Fresh Baked Good.

Magazeen is a reggae artist representing for Hiahleah, Florida and Jamaica. He’s currently on Rick Ross’ Maybach Music label. Slowly emerging, his current tracks consist of mostly dubs over Ross’s tracks and his verse on Ross’s “Yacht Music” on his latest album Deeper than Rap. For a musical treat check out his cover of Here I Am from Ross’s second album. From the few pieces that are available, Magazeen will be a welcome addition to the reggae scene brining a mix of Jamaican and American sensibility. He lacks the distinctiveness of a Mavado, but what he does bring is a fluid transition between chanting, singing and rapping with differences so subtle that its almost indistinguishable he’s moving on.
All we have now for you to check out is his performance on Yacht Music. There’s still much room for growth and refinement in his craft. Tell us what you think.
