It’s the RBMVibes Father’s Day Edition. Instead of bringing you the same old, Dance with My Father tribute or getting all teary eyed looking at the Levert legacy, we’re going to bring you Father’s Day combined with Caribbean Heritage month and look at one father who’s passed the torch down. The name Freddie McGregor is well known in the music world.  He’s a singer, songwriter and producer who’s received international acclaim and has even received Grarmmy nominations.  His hits include Push Come to Shove , I Was Born a Winner,  and Just Don’t Want to Be Lonely. With younger son, Stephen “di Genius” McGregor already making his mark as a producer, its time for older son, 26 year old Daniel “Chino” McGregor to take his proper place in the reggae family.

According to his MySpace, Chino’s interest in music began young as he’s been performing since he was nine years old. As a child he even had the honor of performing for Jamaican Prime Minister PJ Patterson.  Chino is currently working on the Big Ship label and has appeared on several songs to date. His own music has topped the Jamaican music charts and the videos have been in heavy rotation. With one album already under his belt, look forward to more from Chino. 

And while your watching the McGregor boys emerge into reggae stardom, don’t forget about the reggae girl, Shema.  We hear here at RBMVibes that she’s getting ready to do big things as well and we cant wait.
